Policy and Advocacy
Our goal is to engage CIMH members, community members and other stakeholders in advocating for equitable legislative policies, programs and initiatives in support of all immigrants. This includes following local (municipal and state) policy actions, as well as sharing policy-level impacts across settings. The Policy and Advocacy Workgroup keeps the CIMH coalition informed of immigration policies and legislation at the federal, state and local level that affect our immigrant communities. The workgroup also shares ways that coalition members can participate in efforts such as the policymaking process, advocacy and organizing, as well as shares resources and connections to other organizations leading aforesaid work.
