RefugeeOne’s Wellness Program assists refugees of all ages with mental and physical health needs by providing culturally and linguistically sensitive mental health and medical case management services.
Arab American Family Services
Arab American Family Services (AAFS) provides assistance to (South Suburban) Chicagoland residents, with special sensitivity to the cultural and linguistic needs of Arab Americans. AAFS offers support in the areas of public benefits, immigration, domestic violence, mental health, and elderly services and sponsors outreach programs to build healthier families and communities.
Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital Center for Childhood Resilience-Illinois Childhood Trauma Coalition (ICTC-RIC)
The Illinois Childhood Trauma Coalition’s Committee on Refugee and Immigrant Children and Trauma (RIC) was founded in 2015 to address the critical, unique and growing needs of children and families from refugee and immigrant communities.
The ICTC also assembled resources and information for DACA recipients regarding their rights, understanding and coping with stress related to the rescission of DACA, and where impacted families and youth can find help.
The Midwest Human Rights Consortium
The Midwest Human Rights Consortium (MHRC) is a referral network of multi-institutional and interdisciplinary professionals who perform trauma-informed forensic evaluations for individuals seeking asylum in the U.S that operates under the Refugee Immigrant Child Health Initiative (RICHI).
