About
Oliver Camacho, LCPC is a licensed clinical counselor and a professional school counselor. He holds a B.A in Spanish, an M.A. in Inner City Studies, and M.A. in Counseling. He is currently an instructor, academic counselor, and doctoral candidate at Northern Illinois University where he is completing his PH.D in Counselor Education and Supervision. As a researcher, his current focus is on culturally responsive mental health practices for undocumented students in schools. He has been an active member of the Coalition of Immigrant Mental Health since its inception, is a volunteer asylum psychological evaluator for the Midwest Human Rights Consortium (MHRC), is co-chair of CIMH’s undocumented workgroup and CIMH’s Community Outreach Group.
